Phlebotomy.ie run a one day Phlebotomy training workshop. This workshop is suitable for Nurses, Midwives, Medical Doctors/Students and Paramedics
Our workshops are delivered by certified practising senior Phlebotomists. We cover many topics including the legal aspects of practising phlebotomy. Our classes are small and we put a huge emphasis on the practical aspect of blood draws. We use primed arms and hands and we cover all the blood collection systems used in Ireland. We also cover use of Butterfly needles.
Competency testing is carried out at the end of the course but please note that live clinical practice is mandatory following completion of workshop.
In addition to our one day workshop we provide on site training in Nursing Homes, Colleges and GP Practices.
A certificate in Phlebotomy with clinical practice is a minimum requirement to be insured as a Phlebotomist.
